Conceptualizing a design that matches the product's potential
DBOX5 is a solar panel controller defined by its efficiency, durability, and resilience. A new concept representing the latest evolution of PVH Hardware's product line, an international leader in solar energy solutions. This project integrates engineering, sustainability, and design challenges with a clear mission: enhancing all product attributes through design.
PROCESS
Merging aesthetics and circular design to create a triple-impact product
We designed a plug-and-play solution that allows the control app to automatically detect all home radiators and the number of modules they contain. Additionally, we developed a user experience to improve interaction and product handling.
RESULT
Less environmental impact. More power. More efficiency. And outstanding design.
DBOX5 features a compact and elegant design that not only enhances the product’s aesthetics and improves the user experience but also reduces its carbon footprint by 18%. This project transformed an industrial box into a compact, customized unit with a recognizable CMF that stays true to the brand’s identity.

A sustainable product, thanks to our circular design methodology. This is a circular design project in which Lúcid’s methodology enabled the creation of a truly sustainable product. This rigorous process allowed us to select the optimal circular design strategies for this project: reparability, recyclability, durability, and dematerialization. As proof of this, we identified key indicators that demonstrate its sustainability.
